May 01, 2008 - Entries are rolling in for our 2nd Annual Boxer Specialty! Let's not forget
about the Hospitality Bag donations - we're getting down to the wire! The Ribbon
Committee has placed the ribbon order for the June and July shows. We've received 5
orders for Window Decals in the month of April. Total views for our website in April were
2,220! People are taking notice!
May 02, 2008 - Please read our Featured Article for May. Start thinking of what your
"Featured Article" would be if/when you are asked - you never know when you'll get the
e-mail!
May 03, 2008 - There are just 13 short days left to enter the 2008 UKC Premier (entries
close May 16, 2008), and only 27 days left to take advantage of our 2nd Annual Boxer
Specialty pre-entry discount (pre-entry deadline is May 30, 2008)! Come on out and
promote the breed! Our Health and Education Committees will have a booth with lots of
information.
May 04, 2008 - We're kicking it into high gear for our 2nd Annual Boxer Specialty! Marge
Gubry is getting information together for the Health and Education Booth, Tina Reed and
William Chrzanowski have ordered the always beautiful ribbons. Tina Camp is stocking up
on sauce, meatballs, and sausage (she's even trying to remember the vegans this year), and
she's making a list of cups, plates, flatware, etc., and will make sure we have access to a
cool coat cooler ringside. Morgan Reed is making sure that we have ample tables, trash
receptacles, and the "big boy grill". Joe Camp and Dan Giovinazzi are covering the coolers,
tent, lighting, and spaghetti cooker (they won't forget the strainer this year). The Annual
Meeting menu is starting to take form, and everyone is getting excited! There is always so
much work, but our club members always seem to pull their weight. We're already working
on our July Specialty! It's a good thing that Boxers and their people have a high drive!
May 07, 2008 - The Great Lakes Boxer Club would like to welcome our newest member,
Debra Harrah from Fremont, CA!
May 11, 2008 - A group of club members were spotted in Locke, NY!
May 14, 2008 - We have added two new items to our "On Sale Now" page! We will be
adding more items in the future depending on how well our current items go over. The Great
Lakes Boxer Club takes great efforts to offer only quality items at the very best prices we
are able to offer. Not only is your support appreciated, but the Great Lakes Boxer Club
hopes that you will want to wear/display these quality items with pride.
May 18, 2008 - There was some very nice representation at the Dunlap, IL shows this past
weekend! We were also represented in Modesto, CA and Rancho Cordova, CA! The Boxer
contingency is growing! Keep campaigning!

2nd Annual Boxer Specialty!
May 20, 2008 - We've been filling orders for the Window Decals for about two weeks now,
and they seem to be a huge success! We are placing our first order for Great Lakes Boxer
Club "Logo Wear" items tonight with great excitement! We are hoping to have our items
available at the Premier! Thank you to everyone who has placed an order and supported
the club!
May 21, 2008 - Chris Fleisher has finished the Best Of Breed Trophy for our 2nd Annual
Boxer Specialty! Every year Chris creates exclusive beautiful trophies for our club, and this
year is no exception. Take a look at this year's trophies.
May 23, 2008 - The Top Ten Standings have been updated again. I've added some
archived Top Ten Standings for previous years. I'm still missing about 3 complete years -
not too bad! I'll see what I can dig up to complete the Boxer Top Ten history.
May 24, 2008 - The Great Lakes Boxer Club is proud to announce that Purina will once
again be sponsoring our 2nd Annual Boxer Specialty! We are truly grateful for their support!
May 29, 2008 - The Great Lakes Boxer Club would like to thank Drew Forsyth at the United
Kennel Club for helping us complete our Top Ten Standings for the years 2005 and 2006.
We believe we are only missing the final results for 1999. A HUGE Great Lakes Boxer Club
welcome going out to our two newest members, Bernard and Ruth Atkins from Galena, IL!
