August 01, 2008 - Ahhhh, the "Dog Days of Summer". Please keep in mind during these oh
so hot days, that our Boxers overheat easily. Top Ten has been updated to correctly
reflect the UKC's current posted standings. We have a new "Featured Article" this month.
For August, we've added a Great Lakes Boxer Club "Logo Wear" Nylon Coach's Jacket to
our "On Sale Now" items. Thank you to Dan Giovinazzi for replenishing our Window Decals!
These seem to be a hot item, and they seem to just fly out of stock.
August 07, 2008 - The Great Lakes Boxer Club members are currently voting on a club
based Merit/Excellence Award Program. The closing date to vote is August 22, 2008. The
outcome will be posted to this site.
August 18, 2008 - Top Ten has been updated to currently reflect the current UKC
standings.
August 25, 2008 - The vote for the Boxers Of Merit/Excellence Program has closed with 11
votes (91.67%) for approving the program, and 1 vote (8.33%) not in favor of the program.
The following Boxers of Merit/Excellence Program will be in effect as of August 23, 2008 as
follows:
Requirements for the U-SOM would be:
Produce 5 Conformation Titled offspring (3 must be Grands).
Proof of conformation titled offspring would be a copy of the UKC Conformation
Title Certificate and the UKC registration (stating sire and dam - front and back
showing pedigree) for each offspring.
Requirements for U-DOM would be:
Produce 3 Conformation Titled offspring (2 must be Grands).
Proof of conformation titled offspring would be a copy of the UKC Conformation
Title certificate and the UKC registration (stating sire and dam - front and back
showing pedigree) for each offspring.
Requirements for a U-SOE (Sire of Excellence) would be:
Produce 5 UKC Conformation Titled offspring (3 must be Grands) and at least 1 UKC
Performance titled offspring.
Proof of conformation titled offspring would be a copy of the UKC Conformation Title
certificate and the UKC registration (stating sire and dam - front and back showing
pedigree) for each offspring.
Proof of UKC Performance titled offspring would be a copy of the UKC Performance
Title Certificate and the UKC registration (stating sire and dam - front and back
showing pedigree) for each offspring.

Will Chrzanowski will Chair the committee. This program may be altered at a later date (via
GLBC member vote) as we get more Boxers involved. Proof of requirements will be copies
of the UKC Permanent Registration Certificate (front and back showing the dog's pedigree)
and copies of the UKC Conformation and/or Performance Title Certificate(s). These
documents must be mailed (via US Mail) to Will Chrzanowski. This program is only
recognized by the GLBC - GLBC club members will not be able to use these titles when
filling out UKC paperwork (entries, litter registrations, etc.).
